“A World within Strokes and Sounds” Online Concert

Supported by Leisure and Cultural Services Department and CPAA Theatres, Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble (HKGDE) is honored to launch the first online concert "A World within Strokes and Sounds" on Lantern Festival. Receiving numerous applause comments and love from audience, we are grateful to reach over 610,000 hit rate within a week. The concert is beloved by people over the globe.

Combine with 11 new music pieces, the online concert themed by 11 details taken from Dunhuang murals. Alongside new exquisite mural animation design, to reveal the greatness of Dunhuang from pieces and manifest its essence from details. Our composers-in-residence also lead the audience on a docent-guided tour, to bring the audience to enter the world of Dunhuang music. We hope the audience will feel the excitement and enlightenment brought by music and visual effects!
