The ensemble had held two tour in 2023 successfully and receiving an enthusiastic response in mainland. Building on last year's successes, we are now beginning a new tour in Beijing and Tianjin. Invited by the Hong Kong Cultural, Sports and Tourism Bureau, this project is part of the funding under The Council of the China National Arts Fund and is one of the events for the "2024 8th Tianqiao Chinese Spring Arts Festival." (「2024第八屆天橋・華人春天藝術節」)
A Dialogue between Dunhuang and the Palace Museum: Across 2000 Years of Chinese Cultural Heritage -Nature‘s Concerto: “Music from Heaven, Earth & Man” Concert, aims to bring the Dunhuang murals and the artifacts of The Palace Museum to life through music, allowing them to transcend time and space and engage in a dialogue on stage. The concert's theme revolves around Chinese culture, weaving together 1,600 years of Dunhuang and 600 years of the Forbidden City to traverse 2,000 years of Chinese history. Through storytelling, the audience is guided to experience the murals and artifacts, feel the vastness of the universe, and listen to the intertwined fates that span millennia: emerging from sound, resonating from the heart, telling the relationship between "Heaven, Earth & Man" over a thousand years.
This concert is co-organized by China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd. , CPAA THEATRES DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD and Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, along with Tianjin Binhai Performing Arts Center. It has received strong support from the Dunhuang Academy, the Palace Museum, and the Hong Kong Palace Museum. Special thanks are also extended to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s Office in Beijing and the Liaison Office in Tianjin for their support of the respective performances in Beijing and Tianjin.
Through the dedicated performances of the ensemble members, this tour allows the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the essence of Chinese culture.
