Kam Shing Hei
Artistic Director and Composer-in-residence
Kam graduated with first-class honours from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Composition and Electronic Music. Kam has received his master’s degree in Buddhist Studies at the University of Hong Kong under a scholarship from Tung Lin Kok Yuen. After graduating, he taught at the Liberal Art Department of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In terms of his professional career path, Kam is dedicated to professional music composition and has collaborated with art groups including the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Dance Company, etc. His works have been performed at different art festivals, including the Hong Kong Arts Festival, the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field in Japan, and the Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival. In 2022, Kam became the Artistic Director and Composer in Residence of the Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble.
